[Action - Inside 627 Topper Street (open to non-housemates!)]
[Marceline's been sort of on auto-pilot for the past couple of days. She wasn't droned, no, but the shock of seeing Bonnibel (her friend, her best friend, the girl she... she...) attacked, killed, eaten was just... too much for her. She's seen a lot of things in her thousand years of unlife, but it was extremely rare for something to hit so close to her like that.
So work? Screw that. She's just kind of... been sulking all day. It's late afternoon when she remembers the whole "getting your stuff back after weird shit happens" thing, and she drags herself downstairs and outside and-- yep. There it is. A large box addressed to her. She drags it inside, opens it, and pulls out... her bass. Her axe bass. Her family's ancestral weapon, which she turned into an instrument after she swore off the whole "sucking the souls of the innocent" thing.]
... Man, is this some sick joke?
[They gave her back a weapon. Something that, despite it's main use now, she was extremely adept with. Something she could have used to protect Bonnibel.
With a near-inhuman snarl she brings the axe down, smashing straight through the coffee table in the center of the room. All the anger and frustration that had built up in her after her friend's death is finally bubbling to the surface, and this is the perfect outlet for it. The couch? Gone. The TV? Ditto. Every piece of furniture in the living room is and will be a target for Marceline.
She had left the front door open while she was dragging the package inside, so the sounds of her destruction can clearly be heard by those wandering down Topper Street. Do you dare to investigate?]
[Action - Outside 627 Topper Street]
[Her frustration sufficiently vented, Marceline is once again on the porch, her bass across her lap. The song she's playing today is a slow, almost mournful tune. It's as if the bass is projecting her emotions, so it's a pretty heartwrenching melody for an improvised song with no lyrics or other instruments.]
