So I started working night shift recently which was a nice change of pace. It was nice to be able to fill in for a guy who had recently quit suddenly and for no apparent reason....and I NEVER want to do it again. I feel fine and efficent right up until about a 2am barrier that reminds me that humans are diurnal (NOT nocturnal). While I discovered that I can provide good costumer service quite literally in my sleep I couldn't really do anything that required some kind of thinking. This was a problem. Even though the tasks require very little in the way of acutal thought, one still has to be able to do things like read a sentance and remember three numbers at a time.
I also turned in all my performance attendance credits, so barring anything unexpected I should only have my recital left before I get my actual degree. The harp playing is comming along quite well though I can't say as much for my own personal mental health these days. A good day is when I sleep through the day and only have to drink 2 or 3 cups of coffee to stay awake at work.
Having gone running just about everyday for the past few weeks has been nice, even though i only ever run for about 30min-1hr I still feel a whole lot better then I ever did sitting around all day. I wish I could get up and be a little more social tho. I suppose I just wish I was around people a little more then I am right now, though its strange becuase I really feel like I value having good bits of my own time and space.
In any case, take care everyone!
