had to reformat the computer last night, which blows. corey was trying to download some celtic rock, and a trojan virus was downloaded and started acting funny. so we just reformatted & wiped everything out. computer is back up and running, quite quickly i might add. i'm so good... haha. ;o) just kidding.
had a bit of a scare with the house, but all is resolved. corey stayed home from work yesterday to meet the HVAC guy at the new house so dude could inspect the HVAC unit. turns out that the heat exchanger was cracked, the gas had to be shut off, there was a thermostat wire bad, the head needed work, and the dude said it felt like the ac side of the unit was overcharged due to running amps & pressures. i know what none of that means, except that it wasn't good news. it took until afternoon for the realtor to finally call us back and ease our minds. turns out the seller is replacing the entire unit, and even getting a bigger one. turns out one that will run efficiently too. sweet ass.
we're using nationwide as our mortgage insurance (house insurance... whatever). they went over today to measure the square footage and stuff. they even do their own appraisal of the house to find out how much to cover the house for. it's pretty sweet ass what they came up with. we're buying the house for $88,000. but nationwide said it's worth $113,000, which is what they're insuring it (the house) for. i think that that number is for the house alone. they said the land that it's on would make it worth more. NICE. we haven't found out how much all that'll cost though yet.
the loan is in process & stuff with hunter mortgage. just a couple more weeks until the closing date!!! february 10th!!! we couldn't get the loan for more than what the actual cost was for us, so we're not sure yet what to do about having the floors refinished. we want it done, but we have to see what money looks like and stuff. i'm just pumped we're buying a house! we'll be in a bigger house!!! ;oD we'll have storage!!! our own place! hurray!
gonna go wash dishes & start peeling a cucumber. tonight's our night during the week where we have something simple for dinner. tonight it'll be salad. then at 6:40pm until around 9pm, i'm going to go over and babysit for babs. :o) while clay is a cool kid... i REALLY can't wait to see little ben! he's so adorable & awesome!
