(no subject)
so, i'm in myrtle beach & have been here since 1:30pm this afternoon. mom has to work tonight until 10pm, so i got to hang out with my dad all afternoon. cigerette smoke got me a feeling a bit icky, but it's not so bad. i'm not dying or anything. i was just happy to spend some time with my dad. :o)
was going to put my parents tree up today, but dad had already beat me to it. apparantly he put it together yesterday, and then mom decorated it last night. it's the new tree they got on sale last year. it's pre-lit. it's not as big as the old tree, but it's perfect for them & perfect for the living room. i love the lights! :oD
i went to wal-mart tonight & got some christmas decorations for mom & dad. all that they had up was the garland around the doorway to the living room & the christmas tree. i got them a cute little tree skirt because they didn't have one, and haven't had one for years. i got some fake poinsettias (cause i couldn't find any real ones at wal-mart!!!!) & put some of those out. then i bought a plain wreath and some stuff & made mom & dad a new wreath. it's pretty cool if i do say so myself. i bugged my sister online on msn to get her approval too. she said it was fine. if i had more stuff i would add to it, but i ran out. i got some plastic candy canes & put then in mom & dad's front yard. trying to do what i can to spruce things up a bit. they NEVER decorate for christmas. sometimes, mom just isn't the christmas gal. so anyway, after putting the candy canes in the yard, i realized i need 2 more red bows to at least put on the deck. hopefully that'll make it look less bare. i'll get them either tonight when i go to get arby's for dinner for me & dad, or tomorrow morning.
not sure 100% what my plans are for tomorrow, but i'm taking my parents copy of the key to grandma & pappa's house & going to see if i can find their christmas tree & put it up for them. i hope it's in their closet that is inside their house. if so, i can get that done for them to surprise them. :o) don't know what all else i could do. we'll see. may go to wal-mart again tomorrow.
i have a headache & i'm slightly bored & trying not to think about the cigerette smoke.
