Well I could've planned on going it alone but...
I'm going to Kyoto for a long weekend in May
with an aquaintance that I barely know. =/
I figure it'll be nice to share experiences and if we don't get along at least it's only 3 days, and at least we don't have much foundation of a friendship to destroy.
It's hard to get a big group of people together for travels and it's annoying trying to transport big groups also...
