Sunday Update
Even with a late start(I just didn't feel like staying up at 7am when the dog wanted out *sigh*), I did pretty well today.
Glued in the irrigation pieces I cut up yesterday (had to wait cause I needed one additional corner piece)
Started digging a trench across the yard
Took a nice swim in the afternoon. Definately helped cooling down. ;)
Finished hooking up the valve and tried turning it on.
Water sprayed everywhere, I find out the valve has stripped threads on one of the adjustment knobs.
Ran to home depot to exchange the valve for one that wasn't broken.
Came back, attempted to hook it up, but the threads were different, so it didn't line up correctly. *sigh*
Finished the trench.
Measured yard for gravel.
Relaxed inside some.
Made some deviled eggs.
Ran to Home Depot again and got some swivel connectors for the pipes. (bought some other stuff I needed too, that place is dangerous!)
(I think I'm gonna have to replace these cause I think they have a tiny leak under pressure.)
Hooked everything up, and it works now.
Dig some more smaller trenches for the valve wire to the controller.
Hook up the wires, and run the controller for a couple minutes to test it out, all works. :)
Take a picture
Bury part of the hose and wire.
Level out a lot of the ground.
Clean up tools.
Relax, make little sausages for dinner, drink beer and post. :)
So, a fairly good day. :) Got a little pink from being outside so much. But that's good. Its not the painful pink, so it will help me get a base tan as to not burn badly later. ;)
