In my boss' absence I'm in charge of all the food ordering for the hotel with the help of the warehouseman.... every Monday the ladies in charge or organizing banquets give all the BEOs for the next 2 weeks to Alan (or me when hes gone) so we know what food/wine/beer/whatever we need to order. They forgot to get me a menu for a VIP event going on and I didn't find out till the day before. What didn't get ordered? pretty much everything that was important and couldn't be changed...
So I got to drive into Portland to pick up some venison... which I'm glad I did. I've forgotten how beautiful Portland is during the fall. I felt like the VW was going to get carried away in a whirlwind of colorful leafs. The smell of sunshine turning into rain was in the air, It looked like the earth was spitting out black clouds to the north, the darkness followed me all the way home. The sunset was beautiful.
I managed to get in some music time before leaving for work. Its nice having the house to myself.
