Chapter 1: Set Off
What you are about to read today is a Live Journal story about two men that are hiking across their country. This is very Fictional but alot if it isnt at the samr time. I hope you enjoy this story, if your wondering how many chapters it will have, i dont know.
CHAPTER 1)
This story will start off with 2 semi-middle aged men, both around 24 years of age, one named Gavin, a tall man, with short brown hair, a small beard and masculine arms. He was pretty strong for his slim size, he is about 6'3 and enjoys running. Then there is David, he stands at about 5'’10, he is pretty slim also. He has pretty long hair, brown and he enjoys just sitting at home and chilling with his friends. Enough said about these two, they both planned to hike off across the north country. Hiking there was quite dangerous considering not many people have ever gone up there, and only a few made it back.
The two started off into the woods of their town of Krelude. Krelude is a mining village, home of around 600 workers. It wasn’t too large of a town, has some homes, and a shopping village right in the center. The village is set pretty deep into the pine forest, so not many people know about it. they went north towards the snowy mountains, it was about 3 in the morning, so none of the mining was going on.
They left very quietly, running by the village stores and through some yards, all that they could hear was dogs barking and some farm animals, and they could smell that good aroma of morning dew and the fresh light breeze that whistled through the trees. They looked back before entering the woods, not knowing weather or not they were going to come back home or not, but the story will go on.
It was about 9 in the morning right now, they could hear the birds chirping and wind against the autumn leaves, the trees were almost already naked by this time of the year, it was almost November. The two men continued to hike north, across brooks, hills, rivers and plains. The two talked about what they should do when they camp out during the night. The two have already reached the fence that blocked the areas that people lived in, and the area that is too dangerous to live in. But the men knew why they were going.
Gavin and David are on a mission to reach the goldmine, because as soon as they reach that, they could save their village from being taken over by the power hungry lumber company. And by getting the gold, they could pay the company off for good. Gavin started to mumble words to himself.. “What are you saying man?” said David. “Im confused.. There is no way we have traveled 24 miles in a day..” remarked Gavin “it just doesn’t seem like we have traveled that far, I wonder what we are gonna do tonight?” David laughed “we can cook beans over the fire, set our 2 tents up and play cards and stuff. Ittl be fun!”
It was already nightfall, and the moon shined brightly down at Gavin and David, as they set up their camp. They put their 2 tents next to each other, put a tarp over the 2 tents, got firewood and made a fire. “Now this is the life, eh?” David laughed. “Yeah it is, I love the taste of slowly cooked beans over a fire” replied Gavin as he took a big bite of beans. “You know, I think it may start snowing, the wind is blowing and its very cold out here, we should get ready to sleep. “Yap, I know” said David and the 2 men closed their tents and fell asleep.
