(no subject)
So, just found out yesterday that my roommate and I are going to get shifted to another host family for the last week of the program. Apparently our current family is going to Spain on the 27th and didn't tell the housing director for AHA. Which is think is amazingly rude. If you can't be here for the entire program, don't apply to have students live in your house. I just hope that they aren't getting the full 5 weeks of payments, and that the people who let us live with them next week are getting some, and that it doesn't mean we have to pay more money. I mean, I could see if I by myself had to find a hotel or something for the last night, since the program ends on the 31st (we don't even have classes on that day lol) and I don't leave till the 1st. I'd be fine with that. But this means we have to figure out where we're going by the end of this week (no one has told us anything other than that we have to move), break in a new family, and get used to a whole new set of rules. Hopefully they are as flexible with meal times and shower times as the O'Higgins, cause we have tons of things we want to do after school, and sometimes we need dinner at 5 and other times as late as 7:30 or 8, depending on the day. So frustrating. Plus it means we have to pack up all our crap a week early, and we aren't even going to be here for most of this weekend. We'll be in the West of Ireland and at Blarney for Friday and Saturday, and all over the place on Sunday. Sigh. And I need to figure out what I'm sending home by the end of this week so I can send it out on Monday or Tuesday, just to make sure it gets home before I leave. which it might not, depending on how much money I want to spend on it lol. So much to do, so little time. Postcards to half my family so they get them before I get back home, a presentation, a 2000 word paper, and a 2 page paper and presentation. Plus the fact that most days we aren't getting back "home" till about 8 or so. Sometimes later, such as Thursday when we have a musical pub crawl that STARTS at 7:30. Christ on a bike.
