this is usually my "fall wishlist" time of year. however, stores don't seem to have their fall collections out yet. so i don't have anything to wish for, nothing to ogle at. plus, since i won't be working, my need for new clothes is pretty low. people keep giving me horror stories about not fitting into their pre-pregnancy clothes for months and months but i am in ftm denial that i will be the exception. i feel like after a month or two i should be good. ha. i am not sure what i'll do if i don't. exercise and go back to full-on weight watchers again i guess. that would be less expensive than buying new things in a bigger size.
the last week and a half have gotten harder. i've had overwhelming exhaustion, nausea (again), backaches, shortness of breath, ect. i also had my first couple braxton hicks contractions. i thought this stuff would start later. wrong! i'm at 34 weeks and feeling it. i still have 3.5 weeks of work left so i am going to have to make it work somehow. then my body can give out and i can lay on the couch all day feeling tired. or the baby can come(!) ha. i am mentally preparing to be induced after i pass my due date. andy is optimistic and thinks it'll be august 20th (6 days early). i think he's just being nice. :)
i don't know how much our births play into it. i was born 3 weeks late and he was 2 weeks early. we'll see!
otherwise, things are ready. last weekend andy put together the last piece of furniture, a new dresser for our room. so our dresser went to the baby's room. he also put up the curtains. now he just needs to hang the shelf and put up the art and we'll be done.
same with the rest of the place. just the art needs to be hung. so i need to decide where everything should go.
we've been having some unseasonably cool days this week. such a treat! after a high of 106 on saturday the highs have been in the 80s since monday. after today we'll be back to the 90s. however, you really start to appreciate the 90s after a couple of days in the 100s.
