Hello, British person! I was at Cost Plus World Market today and browsing their "international" chocolates. Being the HP-fan I am, I bought some Chrunchie and Whispa. So my question is, ARE those names familiar to you? Or is Cost Plus just ripping off the ignorant Americans?

(totally unrelated to your post, I know, but I saw "till" and commented)

As another British person I can tell you that yes they are most familiar to anyone who's ever looked at the chocolate section in any store. Wispas are perhaps the best chocolate bars ever! *nom* Pretty much anything with the Cadbury's logo on will be tasty :)

.... although I have failed to spot the connection between Crunchies & Wispas and HP... Or have I got the wrong HP....

(Sorry burntcopper for stealing your reply!)

Do they actually have the "h"s in them or have you just misread the packet? If they're Crunchie and Wispa, then they're genuine, if they're Chrunchie and Whispa, you've been ripped off.

Crunchies : sugar honeycomb wrapped in chocolate.

Wispas : finely bubbled chocolate.

Yup, these are fine.
