Royals....

I've always been a bit antagonistic when it comes to the royal family. On the one hand they're a symbol of an outdated imperialistic class system which we should do all we can to avoid, but on the other they make the americans jelous, which is reason in its self to keep them.

Today however I read in the paper that Prince Charles in his infinate wisdom has said that "A ban on fox hunting won't last" The report went on to say how Charlie boy had broken the "unwritten law" that the Royal family don't get involved with party politics, and in this lies my first point. If they can't actually get involved with running the country whats the point in having them? More importantly however I realised whilst reading the article that the Prince actually has hit the nail on the head, a ban on hunting WON'T last. This is because, rich upperclass morons, love to hunt, and whilst "I'm a working class gezzer... yes I am!" Tony Blair would deny it, rich aristocracy can still run this country without lifting a finger. Whilst the class system is supposedly scrapped there is no evidence that its changed at all, money talks.

So now my veiws change, the Royal family SHOULD be scrapped, the hereditary titles SHOULD be taken away, there is no need for it. The Royal family is the single greatest thing working against this country's progression into modern society. Untill the royals are gone a ban on fox hunting won't last, mainly because they don't want it too, and the sooner the country realises this the better.

*Rant over*
