huzzah for college app essays. i'm halfway through one about why i hate being white. probably the weirdest topic i've come across is that for U of M's design school: "Explain the difference between a real apple, a 2D drawing of an apple, and a 3D representation of an apple." And this is supposed to help them get to know you?

Aye thats an interesting one. I'm having trouble starting mine though, I keep coming up with excuses to put them off...such as cleaning. That's a bad sign no? Oh well, no choice but to start now.

Yeah, I've been using cleaning as an excuse too, but I can't anymore because I have to write an essay for the National Merit Scholarship competition and my counselor has decided that she wants it done on Monday or Tuesday. I'm supposed to write some crap on "personal characteristics, accomplishments, primary interests, plans, and goals." I'm consoling myself with the fact that my opening contains facts from a book on cadavers. (insert evil laugh here)
p.s. "Aye" is a very good word.

Holy crap, that is quite an enjoyable essay question. After reading it I almost felt like breaking open Word and starting to answer it, ....

Then I realize I'm a lazy-ass bum and just give it a good smile.
