(no subject)
Well, I'd originally intended to make it out last night, but was feeling a little less than stellar, and since Erika was feeling so unwell and decided to stay in, I thought I'd stay in, too, and keep her company. After much contemplation, I decided to go ahead and try to make meatloaf. Kinda one of those things I've been intending, but not getting around to. I can't say it turned out perfect, but for a first try, it was pretty darn good. Of course, it was almost 10 by the time we went shopping, and 10 minutes to midnight when we got the meatloaf into the oven... to cook for an hour and a half...
We made mashed potatoes, or, rather, Erika did, while I finished the meatloaf... and had those as an appetizer. Watched Shaolin Soccer (did I spell that right?), which was hilarious... I made many funny laughter sounds... finally, the meatloaf was done, and it was good. All in all, a pleasant evening.
It was nice to have a relaxing evening with her, but it sucks having that voice in the back of my head..."enjoy this, its the last time." I couldn't help but think its probably our last shopping trip together, perhaps even our last evening spent that way. I do not look forward to being alone here. I know I'm going to have to have someone move in sooner or later, but sharing this house with someone else ... agh.
Still, sooner or later I'm going to have to. I can't afford this on my own forever, and still get things done... damn bleakness, go away
