The Gangrels have lost an Elder of the Clan within the last two months, to the claws of the Unholy. This was distressing to the Clan as well as the Denizens of his city (Seattle) and those of his Covenant I am sure, as it was one of his Clan that called for those of the Clan to attend a Wake for this man, I went as it was a friend who called for attendees, Samantha Von Stahl.
The attendance may have seemed less then can be expected for one of the blood who had been around so long, but in that there were those called to this event who had never met him, but came to pay their respects as he was Blood as well as they were asked to come by another Gangrel. This says something for the man and his place in the Clan, as it had people who had never met him come to honor, him either as he was Blood or others of the Clan wished to honor him with the Clan there.
There were those I'd met before, as well as others, and I kinda got to meet Venatrix, well at least see who she is, though I now know I've seen her before, as well as Kai, I originally saw them both during the Concillium in Milwaukee. Then there was Bat, and Samantha and a few others, seems part of this was so Samantha could introduce her broodmate and their Grandsire to each other. I took the time to listen to some things, as well as ask Kai for a bit of confirmation on an Idea I have about powerful women Gangrel at the heads of some renowned or at least known lineages.
He agrees but sees it as women, are more likely to be creators then their male counterparts, and males need to get over that aspect within the new condition. I found it interesting to speak to him, but took Samantha up on one of the ideas she had to honor St. Leoninus with running through the woods for the rest of the night as I headed to the next area, I had to go, with One Last Howl to say goodbyes in the end.
