Another epic bird thread.
I'm eventually going to start forgetting the number of birds I've saved..
Tonight's epic bird thread comes from when I went to let the dogs out and heard a massive fluttering out on the back porch that which has no light.
I could only see random shapes in the shadows of teh neighbor's security light, but alas.. After rigging a light up to shine through the window, I found a Cardinal stuck on the porch.
To make long story short that I might elaborate on later, Cardinal is exhausted, can't find the door because it's pitch black past said door, and is confusing security lights for daylight. away from the door. (porch is screened in, btw.)
Bird flies around till it's like, "psh f this guys.." and just stops at the house door, lets me approach it (or was too tired to fly away..) let me pick it up, held it shortly, carried it out back outside, held it for about a minute, and it finally flew straight up into the night.
Very pretty birds up close.. like.. when you're holding them.
