Title: Choices
Fandom: Sonny with a Chance
Pairing: Chad/Sonny/Selena
Prompt: 33- Too Much
Chapters: 1/?
A/N: So I decided to rewrite this. Hoping that it gives me some more inspiration to finish WIsh and this as well. Hope you like it! :)

When Sonny Monroe entered her dressing room after a unusually long rehearsal she was happily surprised to find the room completely empty. She had been expecting something completely different which was one of the reasons she had taken forever to walk back from set. She had half expected to find Selena Gomez, the girl who had been cast to play Sonny in Chad’s movie about himself, hiding out there waiting for her return. She knew the other girl had not finished in her attempts to convince Sonny that she held hidden feelings for Chad Dylan Cooper. No matter what Sonny had said to the girl, Selena did not seem to want to believe it was true. And her accusations were completely absurd. Not even if all the seven hells froze over would Sonny ever consider even going out on a date with him. Not only was Chad Dylan Cooper an arrogant self-centered idiot, but he was also the star of Mackenzie falls, which made him an enemy to Sonny because of Mackenzie Falls being the enemy show to So Random. The only type of love Sonny felt for him was how much she loved to hate him.

Now while half of her had been expecting Selena, the other half had been expecting her cast mate Tawni Heart to pounce on her the second she walked through the door. She knew that Tawni must have heard the rumors that had begun. It was the very same rumor that had started when Selena had declared Sonny’s love for Chad in the middle of the wardrobe department. She knew very well that rumors spread in seconds on set and that Tawni had to have heard it. And she knew that she had to be pissed. The cast would take it as a betrayal if Sonny even thought about having a crush on the enemy. But luckily she would not have to deal with any drama for the moment. She was all alone just the way she liked it.

Sonny sighed as she dropped down on the couch. It had only just turned noon, but she was already feeling as if the day was never going to end. This was highly unusual for the normally overly perky actress. She normally could not wait to get into work. Even when one of their schemes was not working the way the cast had hoped and Marshal seemed to be on the verge of catching them she still would have a good day. But today was turning out to be the worst day ever. It was even worse than when her Mother threatened to pull her from the show if she didn’t get her grades up.

“How could this day get any worse?” Sonny muttered to herself.

As soon as the words left her mouth she knew she would regret them. She heard a soft tapping on the dressing room door before she heard a very familiar voice call out her name. She groaned internally as she recognized the voice to be the very boy she never wanted to see again, Chad Dylan Cooper. She had jinxed herself.

Briefly she thought about just pretending not to be there, but she knew she was too nice to anyone to do that to Chad. Even if he was an arrogant ass, she knew she was not about to be the same way. Sonny sighed cursing her niceness as she rose to her feet to head across the room to unlock the door. She opened the door and found Chad standing on the other side. HE had his hands shoved in his pockets. She could not seem to tell if he was nervous, impatient, angry, or all of the above. The only time she ever saw emotion cross his features was the few episodes of Mackenzie Falls she had seen before coming to Hollywood. That was before she had known what a big jerk he actually was.
“Chad.”

“Sonny.”

Chad pushed his way into the dressing room when it became clear that Sonny was not going to make any movement to get out of the way. Sonny signed, slightly annoyed at Chad’s usual arrogance. He never could understand that there were people in this world that could not stand him appearing whever he felt like it. He could never take a hint that he was not wanted somewhere since in his little world everyone revolved around his wants and needs.

“Oh won’t you come in,” Sonny muttered, sarcasm dripping thickly, “What can I help you with today Chad?”

Chad began to pace in the middle of the dressing room as if Sonny had not spoken at all. Sonny just took her place sitting on the couch once more as she watched the usually over confident star pace nervously before her. She could not stop staring at him because it was unusual and highly entertaining to see him act this way. But after five minutes of watching him pace the amusement quickly became lost as Sonny felt herself getting dizzy from her eyes darting back and forth so often.

“Chad,” Sonny snapped, a little harsher then she had meant too.

Chad halted in his tracks and quickly spun around as he turned his attention back to Sonny. He had not realized he had been pacing back and forth across the floor for as long as he had. He had been having an internal battle within himself over what she should do next. The words that Chad had practiced during his walk over had quickly fled as soon as Sonny had opened the door. The only thing he had seemed to have remembered was Sonny’s name.

“Sonny,” Chad blurted out once more, as he mentally slapped himself for being so smooth.

“We already covered that,” Sonny reminded him.

Chad nodded, not knowing really how to respond that without looking like an idiot. Instead he took a seat next to her. He stared into her eyes trying to gage her reaction that might occur when he revealed the real reason for his visit.

Sonny stared back. She could not help but wonder why he looked so nervous. Chad Dylan Cooper did not get nervous, or not that she had ever witnessed anyway. She quickly realized that there must be something that he wanted to tell her but for whatever reason he was having trouble getting the words out. This was highly unusual because if there was anything that Chad had a problem with, speaking his mind was not one of them. Then realization hit the young TV Star. Chad had to be there to admit that he had badly casted Selena for his movie instead of casting Sonny to actually play herself.

“Look if you want to ask me to be in your stupid movie you can forget it,” Sonny told him, “I don’t care that you did not cast me to play me anymore. I have other things to worry about.”

She was going to add that she was super busy with planning sketches and other things for her show So Random, but she knew that Chad would never have bought that as an actual reason. Sonny was the Queen of being able to multitask a milling things at once.
“That’s not why I came here,” Chad told her, but did not say anything more.

“Then why did you come here Chad?” Sonny demanded, impatience seeping into her voice.

Chad sighed, as he stood up and resumed his pacing back and forth across the room. Sonny quickly realized that his pacing was not as amusing as it had once been. She quickly stood up and intercepted him just as he turned around to head in the opposite direction once more.

“Use your words Chad,” Sonny told him, “I’m not psychic so I can’t just see what your thinking.”

“Maybe Gomez was right,” Chad blurted out.

A gasp escaped Sonny’s lips as the words finally registered with her. Chad was trying to tell her that maybe he did like her. That he was beginning to think there was more to their love/hate relaltionship then hate.

“You like me?” Sonny asked weakly. “Like really like me?”

“Yes,” Chad admitted quietly, “Maybe.”

Sonny could not handle this anymore. She may have had a crush on Chad at one point in her life, but that was before she had actual pleasure of meeting him. That was before she had realized what an egotistical jerk he actually was. That was before she had seen past the Mackenzie Falls act he put on. That was before things had changed for Sonny.

“I can’t do this,” Sonny explained, before she ran out of the room leaving a stunned Chad rooted to the ground.

No one had ever turned Chad Dylan Cooper down before. And yet that was exactly what Sonny had just done to him. It shocked him to the core. He wondered if this was how NIco and Grady felt all the time. But he was smart enough to know that was not something he should ask them. Or maybe he would?

Title: Choice
Fandom: Sonny with a Chance
Pairing: Chad/Sonny/Selena
Prompt: 91- Birthday
Chapters: 2/?

After a quick exit, Sonny headed for a safe place to hide from Selena and Chad. She did not think she could handle another confrontation from either of them. So she headed towards the one place neither of them would think to look. She headed to the prop house hoping it was too obvious of a place to be found in. As soon as she entered the room she did a quick once over to make sure there was no one there before she lay on the couch. She pulled a throw pillow close to her chest holding it tightly. Sonny wondered for the millionth time that day why she had ever bothered to leave Wisconsin. If she had known just how complicated her life would get she never would have taken the offer to move here. She would have just stayed in her town where everything was nice and safe form heartache and complications.

Sonny thought back on the last few weeks as she tried to figure out where her life had gone wrong. When had everything her life turned upside down? When had things changed for her? Chad had Selena had no idea how much easier her life would be if she could return the feelings Chad had for her. In the beginning she had even thought she had felt the same way. Even if he was a conceded idiot who did not care about anyone but himself, Sonny had wanted to believe that there was good in even him. That was one of her downfalls; Sonny was always looking for the good in people. She might have even found some good in Chad too if everything had not changed. A part of her blamed Tawni for forcing her to go with her to one of her celebrity birthday parties. It had been the same kind of celebrity birthday party she had been to many times before. Now that she knew the outcome she knew she should have tried harder to find a way to get out of going. Maybe she could have been able to trick Tawni into going with NIco or Grady instead.

But sadly, at the time she had not been able to see into the future. She had agreed to go and because of her choice everything had changed. That party had changed her and she was not sure if it was for the better. She doubted if Selena even remembered that they had actually met for the first time at the party. She had been far too distracted with the DJ to even notice her existence. Sonny had not even gotten passed “Hello” before the other girl had fled to the dance floor because the DJ had put on one of her favorite songs. Selena had not even uttered an apology for her impromptu exit. Sonny had watched Selena flee and when she began to dance it was if the entire world had slipped away. Now Sonny had never believed in love at first sight, but watching Selena dance to Usher made Sonny realize many things she had not realized about herself.

For one thing Sonny had never had a crush on a girl before, but with Selena she was crushing and hard. She had never found herself liking someone so much in her entire life and up until the Chad Movie Fiasco Sonny had never actually talked to the other girl. After that party it had seemed like Selena was everywhere she went. Every time she flipped on the television there was a commercial for some product that Selena was promoting. Every time Sonny tried to drive home she would either hear something about the other girl on the radio or see a billboard for one of Selena’s newest movie productions. And then just when Sonny thought she could not take it anymore Selena shows up to audition to play Sonny in Chad’s movie about his life. Everything went downhill when she actually got to meet Selena. She fell for the girl even harder and it had made Sonny hate life even more.

“Why must life suck,” Sonny muttered.

Then hoping to relieve some of the frustration she screamed into the pillow she clutched in her arms.

“What did that pillow ever do to you?” Tawni asked, once Sonny had returned the pillow to its place in her arms.

Sonny looked up in time to find her cast mate Tawni Heart dropping into one of the arm chairs next to the couch.

“Nothing,” Sonny muttered, “Was it because Chad asked you out and you told him no?”

Sonny sat straight up as she stared at Tawni with widened eyes. She knew that things could spread pretty fast on set, but that had to be a world record. And as far as she had been aware no one but her and Chad had been in the dressing room at the time. It did not make any sense. She knew for a fact that Chad was not the type of guy who would go around telling everyone that he had gotten shut down. He was the type of guy who only spoke of his successes.

“It wasn’t Chad,” Tawni told her, “Zora was in the vents listening again.”

“Oh,” Sonny said, as she lay back down.

Zora telling everyone what had happened made a lot more sense than Chad telling everyone. She should have known to look up in to the vents. Zora was always up there weirdly enough. Sonny could never understand what went through that girls head and why she enjoyed closed spaces so much.

“So do you want to talk about it?” Tawni asked.

Sonny shot Tawni an ‘Are you kidding me?’ look. Tawni was not the type of person who talked about anyone else’s problems. She was kind of like Chad in the respect that she was self-centered and cared more about her appearance than anything else.

“What?” exclaimed Tawni, “I can’t help you with your problems?”

“You don’t help anyone with their problems,” Sonny reminded her, “Not unless cameras are involved.”

“I have my moments,” Tawni told her, “Now tell me what the problem is before it passes.”

Sonny did her best to explain everything that had happened over the last two days. She made sure to leave out the fact that the real person she liked was Selena. She had kept that secret from everyone this long and she was not about to let anyone in on that now when she had other problems to deal with. Tawni was about to say something in response to Sonny’s drama when Selena walked in.

“There you are Sonny,” Selena exclaimed, “I’ve been looking all over for you.”

Sonny was about to say something when Tawni decided to step in.

“Can you see we’re in the middle of a meeting about the show?” Tawni demanded.
Selena turned her attention from Sonny to Tawni. She shook her head silently before she quickly apologized and fled the room. Sonny sighed with relief that Selena had left before she had been able to say anything. Sonny was about to thank Tawni for helping her out when she noticed a knowing look cross Tawni’s features.

“O.M.G. I figured out why you don’t like Chad,” Tawni exclaimed.

“What are you talking about?” Sonny asked.

“It’s obvious Sonny,” Tawni exclaimed, excited that she had figured out the puzzle, “You like Selena. Your annoyed at Selena for trying to get you to like Chad because you really like her.”

“No I don’t. That’s ridiculous,” Sonny tried to laugh it off, as the pitch of her voice got higher with every word she spoke, “And don’t take my sudden voice change as I’m lying.”

“Ok I won’t,” Tawni grinned. “But I know your lying Sonny. Just admit that you like Selena Gomez.”

Sonny finally snapped.

“Fine, I do. I like her,” Sonny exclaimed as she glared at her co-star, “Happy now?”

Sonny stared at Tawni as if she had two heads. She couldn’t even tell other people about her crush how was she supposed to let Selena know?

“You’re insane,” Sonny told her.

Tawni shook her head as she stood up and headed for the door. She easily spotted Selena down the hall waiting for their pretend meeting to be over so that she could talk to Sonny.

“We’re done Selena,” Tawni called.

Selena came rushing back down the hall to the prop house. Before Selena got there she turned back towards Sonny.

“Tell her,” Tawni hissed, “You don’t know what will happen until you do something.”

Sonny glared at the back of Tawni’s retreating back. She hated Tawni for forcing her into this, but a part of her knew that Tawni was right. She could either stay silent and spend the rest of her life wondering what might have happened or she could take a chance and admit her feelings to Selena. She was trying to wrap her mind around the idea when Selena strolled through the door as if she had not been waiting right down the hall.

“Hey Selena,” Sonny said, drawing out the words hoping to find the courage to do what she needed to do.

“Hey Sonny,” Selena said, drawing her words out the same way Sonny had as she dropped into the seat Tawni had been sitting in moments before.

“So I need to tell you something Selena,” Sonny told the girl, as she tried to build up the courage she needed.

“Did you finally get together with Chad?” Selena asked, excitement glittering in her eyes as the news.

“Well no…” Sonny began, but she was cut off by the ringing of Selena’s cell phone.

Selena held out a finger before pulling her IPhone from out of her pocket. Sonny closed her mouth suddenly mad that there had been an interruption just when she had found herself ready to act on Tawni’s advice and come clean to Selena. Sonny did not mean to eaves drop on the call, but it was not as if Selena was trying to hide it either. She was sitting right next to her after all. It was then that Sonny had realized Selena had a boyfriend. Of course she had heard the rumors that the other girl was dating one of the brothers in the group ‘The Jonas Brothers’. But all of the gossip rags and newspapers had quoted Selena as saying she was only good friends with the youngest brother. But hearing her conversation now, she realized that it was all true. Sonny felt like such an idiot for even harboring the idea that something could have happened between them. Sonny tried to will her body to leave the room before Selena got off the phone. But before her body would move Selena had already hung up the phone and had her attention back on Sonny.

“What did you need to tell me?” Selena asked.

Sonny could only stare blankly back at Selena. She had no idea what she was going to say now.
