Too Tired To Joke
I am just so incredibly tired today.
I had an excellent weekend and got to spend time with some of my favorite friends. A good friend of mine came for a visit from Texas and we hung out on Saturday night. Had a few beers kicked back, stuff like that. They all watched the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but since that isn’t really my thing, I just drank and distracted people by talking to them. All in all is was a good visit. Last night was great. I had the house to myself so one of my boys came over with a friend and we smoked and drank. My best friend (who is now living with me again) came home and joined us. We sat out on the deck and looked at the stars while we smoked a fabulous blunt. Music and taking….and then sleep. I got to snuggle with the boy, and fell fast asleep only to be woken up when he had to leave. I’m not so happy that the work week is back again, especially since it is a blizzard outside. Snow in April, I hate it, yuck!!!
Here is a question for all you fashion lovers out there. Why do we spend so much freaking money on shoes? I will spend a lot on clothes but on shoes I just can’t. If they are really nice shoes I can spend the money, but when it is just those flat shoes that are fun colors etc I can’t do it. Lately I have been a Payless Shoe Store whore. I get all my shoes there for $10.00 or less and you know what, I get so many compliments on them. Just this weekend I bought a pair of converse type shoes for $8.00. They are black with a rasta buckle on them and they are so great. I have already gotten 2 compliments on them at work today. I smile and say, “thanks, I paid $8.00 for them!” and people are in awe at my bargain shopping skills. I also bought 3 pairs of flip flops; hot pink ones, dark blue and black ones, and orange flower ones. I heart them all! I am a shoe whore it is true, I have a gazillion pairs of shoes and most of them were really really cheap.
I’m so tired that I can’t even think of anything funny or witty to say. . . . . . . . I will say that I have cut back on my smoking and I still am going through $50.00 a week. I have a problem with sharing. It is good to share but I share with the same people every day and never ask them to chip in. It is getting to be very expensive. But I get lonely smoking alone all the time so I guess it is the price I pay.
So long for now. It has been a long while since I’ve updated because I’ve been so busy with school. Two weeks until the end of the semester and I am not even close to ready. So frustrating!
