I feel like my internship position is constantly evolving. I have gone from being responsible of assisting the youth with registering for classes, balancing check books, resume writing, fundraising, etc......to just hanging out with them when they're bored and giving them constructive ideas for daily activities. Monday I sat around for four hours with this kid named Alfonso while he told me about anime and all these different card games that go along with the anime. He also showed me several episodes of some show called Naruto and told me that if I were an anime deck I would be the Cyber Harpie Lady.
Nathan is potty training right now....and the other day he was standing bare butt in the den next to his potty. He turned around, bent over, spread his butt cheeks at me and asked if I could see "it." I'm pretty sure there is no nanny or parenting book that tells you what to do when that happens. kids are officially a culture of their own.

There's technically two weeks left of my Global Term in Altadena....who knows what the future holds.
