Kase bounced out onto the grounds wearing her usual flowing skirts and barefoot, but today she was carrying a large tray with several empty glasses and a very large pitcher of fresh lemonade. There were also a few individually wrapped snack cakes in the bag slung over her shoulder and hanging at her waist

A treehouse? Frankly, Phoebe was completely excited. It was a novel idea, a brilliant one in her opinion, but some things were worrying her. Would it be strong enough to hold them all? But if it was... think of the possibilities! Phoebe's mind already was imagining somewhat childish and picturesque frames, like secret clubs and the like. It would be fantastic for them to have something like that, she thought, especially in light of all the chaos at the school

And if it wasn't Ms. Bluebird. Jacob was mildly surprised she was the first (after him, of course) to arrive as he figured Tristian might arrive before her. He grinned at her, skipping the usual greeting as he knew she could read his mind and they kept going through that ritual every time they ran across each other. "Of course, the birds themselves are supervising... they're actually not doing the work. We are." He winked, and then pointed to a rather large and sturdy oak. "What do you think about that tree
