Date: Sunday, September 11 Time: 11:26am Week Number // Name: 2 // The Gossip Train Characters Open To // Involved: Kase // Aleida and Kase Reason: Telepathy and Turning Points
Kase was less than thrilled about this, but she tried not to show it. She rolled her eyes as Aleida thought about the paint and the moulding and tried her best to not really think. This was just pointless, but Kase was never one to argue with the Xavier's professors. She'd have even been hesitantly pleased with the idea if her selected partner was someone else. Someone with more reasonable emotions and a kinder attitude. But that would be asking too much, apparently.
She sighed heavily, barely watching the other girl. She didn't have to see the person she was reading the mind of at all. She could be in another room and still do this; maybe she'd suggest that to the professor sometime. She'd certainly enjoy the time more, and maybe Aleida wouldn't try so hard to be so rude about trying to keep her out

Aleida had, until Kase suddenly discounted her methods, not been too adverse to this meeting. She had considered what Kase had said (perhaps with a bit of help from Tristian), though she still would've argued all over again. She had gone so far as to send Kase a letter; sure her motives were not entirely sincere, but did that really make much of a difference?
However, when Kase finally spoke, Aleida could not manage to keep her slightly pleasant demeanor any longer. Her face dropped and she looked just as unimpressed as she now felt. She didn't bother to answer Kase, as talking to her seemed as effective as talking to the deaf. Not to mention she had just been called on her trickery.
Seeing that any plan wasn't working, she carefully tucked her memories away again. Something could be said about the fact that Aleida could barely access her own memories, as much of her childhood was a fuzzy blur of missed birthdays and excellent report cards. Aleida failed to notice this fact; if she couldn't remember much, how could Kase possibly

The letter that Aleida had sent had only made Kase blanch and sorely wish she'd not gone along with the idea. Sure, she'd been told of the plan by one of the professors and had agreed as readily as she was expected to do. But that note had seemed more insulting than apologetic and Kase didn't take well to semi-veiled insults. She lived by a strict code of honesty and she expected the same from other people

Maybe she had been wrong; this was positively dreadful. Kase had free reign to do what she would (Aleida was secretly worried what would come of this - it wasn't as if the professor knew what was really going on in her head). And Aleida? She could sit... and be bored. So she did just that. Her impatience was nagging her; normally it only stemmed from her own incompetence, and perhaps that was the case now. She couldn't protect herself from Kase's prying..eyes or mind or whatever she used, and that bothered her. She had always been smarter than everyone else and now that she had encountered someone with a stronger mind than her own, her insecurities were practically eating her alive
