Attention Attention Can I have all your eyes and ears!
I need opinions from everyone who reads this.
I got 14 hours this week because I called in on Saturday, and it was a completely legitimate reason, well ok let me tell you. My phone died, literally it died and I had no phone, then my car broke down and I had no money, luckily I had my work number on a card in my purse and I walked over to a Marriot Townehome Suites and used their phone to call into work. It was around ten o'clock and I had work at noon. My manager said that it was fine, she could call someone in to cover me, so I thought I was all good. Then later when I got my phone fixed (aka got a new phone) I had a voicemail waiting for me from my manager telling me that I didn't have to come in on Sunday either...so I was like...okay....cool. Then She calls me on Sunday to give me my schedule and tells me that I only work Wednesday and Friday.
So I thought..oh maybe they are trying to be nice, but most likely I am in trouble. I found out today I am in trouble because "I need to be more responsible and I could have called someone or somehow got to work some way on Saturday" except I couldn't because I HAD NO ONE'S FUCKING PHONE NUMBER. Anyway, so the question here is: should I put up with this and see what they do to me next week or should I just fucking quit because they obviously like to do things (like only give me 14 fucking hours) before knowing my fucking story?
Because, seriously I don't know what I should do, and I cannot live on 14 hours a week, especially since I am just moving into an apartment on Monday.
