Last Saturday my class and I went to the Great Wall of China. That was amazing. It's such a strange feeling when something that has always been vaguely mythical to one becomes real. We walked on it for about two hours and didn't even cover any significant length of it. It does make my laugh, this wall. It's so random. One wonders why exactly it needed to be QUITE so curly when slightly sraighter would still have kept the enemies at bay and taken less work. It's sad too though. When you stand on it and think about just how many people died to make it. How many bones and bodies are still in that wall.

We did our first day of work last Saturday, and it went really well. Jenn and Sarah with the children and myself with the older children and adults. Last night I was offered a job on Thursdays teaching English to doctors, so that's another feather in my cap. I start next week. And then this Tues coming up I have my trial day at the school (I was wrong, it's teenagers, not small children, which I'm glad of). Once that's done I can negotiate the terms of that.

So I'm currently busy busy, or at least I will be next week, and I'm glad.

Tonight I'm going out with some classmates, my sister and Jenn. Beer and dancing! I decided I needed to as this might be my last night to go out in about a month.
