Stef Bell's paintings and art are stylized portraits of people and things real and imagined, with influences ranging from the everyday ordinary to the super extraordinary. You've had a sneak peek at her art at the label launch party on Fri Aug 13 as well as anytime you've caught our sandwich board out on James St N. Check out the rest of the fantastic fruits of her artistic labour - it's way more than just fruit! HCR is excited to feature artwork by one of Schizophrenic/Hammer City Records biggest supporters on the walls of the shop for November 2010's Art Crawl Night!

Hammer City Records
Hammer City Records is located at 228 James Street North at the back of the old Ricca Furniture Building BUT we're only accessible from James St N on Art Crawl nights. To find us the rest of the month, from James St N walk down Robert St to the alley on the left just past the patio. It's not always obvious that it's an alley because people often park in it. The entrance to Hammer City Records is under the 'Ricca' sign and you'll notice our sign next to the door.
The shop is less than a 10 min walk from the GO Station, and even less so from Gore Park - just head North (towards the lake, I know it's weird if you're coming from TO) along James Street.
If you're driving there is some metered parking along Robert Street but parking is free on Hughson, the first street off Robert. There is also a pay lot just along Hughson.
