jesus fuckin christ. my ears are still ringing from friday nights madness. The show was a goddamn ripper i haven't had such a good time in a longtime. The distro was fuckin crazy and i was tied to the table all night but Leah had the good sense to set up right above the bands. Legion 666 are so fuckin good with joel and katie really adding a blast to their songs. kegcharge from texas were amazing and i think should have headlined. i knew nothing about this band but now i will be hunting down their lp cuz they ripped me a new asshole. Inepsy were great. I would really love to release a 7" with them. this band just gets better and better. yes i will see you in hell. finally wb2d played. they were great and i was expecting them to be great. the crowd was huge and crazy. it has been a longtime since i have seen a crowd really enjoying a show. tons of newer kids too. that was great and seeing their jap and scandi patched and shirts was rejuvenating.
pesci was out and brought me the bayonettes demo. real good stuff. i really liked their avengersish sound. saw zoe for a brief minute but never really got a chance to talk. same with bennett. i need to learn to be more socialble. it was great to hang out with paul and john and the rest of the legion folks. got lots of warm thoughts and condolences from friends i haven't seen in a longtime. goddamn it was nice to be out and with good folks. cuzzin bob and woody were out. knowing they were in town for the weekend really made me want to stay for the saturday shows but we couldn't pull it off. it would have been amazing as woody always makes life fun.
