.2- I am here -
Katsumata takes her apart and takes her away: obscuring, reshaping and recreating; he sifts through her memories and disposes of the things he finds redundant. Beneath the gloss there lay only smeared images, mangled thoughts and feelings that cut too deep. She is only Ochiai-san now, and a flower and the fragmented memory of two broken boys are all she takes to America.
Yet still, he haunts her. In her mind, her thoughts, her dreams she sees him, always one step too far away, always just out of reach. At the edge of her periphery he looms: an image too faded to touch, and she feels like she’s chasing the Sun.
But not all memories lie in the mind: she wakes in cold sweat one day haunted by his ghost. As she wakes, he slips away and she’s left trying to grasp onto wisps of air. A name is all she remembers. And she repeats it to herself like a mantra as she steals a glance at the flower on her nightstand. Still pristine, it never wilts, never withers, and she thinks of the irony of it all as she mumbles under her breath, expression forlorn and far too old for someone her age, “ little white weed that won’t die…”
Taisuke forgets, Megumi tries to remember, and enclosed in his sphere, devoid of time, logic and reason, Hirose only waits.
So... this is my first fanfic that's not just a cumulation of 50 sentences. woo. :D
Its my favorite manga but due to the popularity scanlations are erratic at best. Art's kinda.. meh at the beginning but in future arc it gets really nice. Also, dig the characters. Oh and cause the translated chapters are only up till chapter 35, I peeked at the (really pretty) 2 years later volumes, with absolutely no understanding of japanese. So I may have gotten some stuff fudged up.
.... anyone know where to pimp this?
comments and crits much appreciated.
(though i doubt anyone will even read this. ;__;)
if you friend me, I'll friend back. People my age, in my country only blog and even that's a dying medium.
Err, watch SE 39? xD
also: DoGS: Bullets and Carnage, anyone?
I'll edit in artwork later.
