I am 8 days out of the hospital and feeling fine.i started school today, though my doctor said I needed 2 weeks off at least.. yeh, tell that to my professors... For those of you not in the know, I had a myomectomy. Which is the removal of a uterine fibroid via an incision in the abdomen. I had let it go for too long... The fibroid was 7 inches in diameter.. It had distorted one ovary so badly that it is now defunct. The hospital was a drag.I had a catheter in my urethra and and an ever-present iv. But I got out of there ok. The worst part was that my insurance would not cover the surgery, or rather the hospital wouldn't accept it. So I am now $20,000 in the hole. But I will take care of it $150 at a time. Glad to be home.Thanks to all who visited me and brought gifts. Sorry if I have not personally thanked everyone for their kindesses, but I will get to you all! I am lucky to have such wonderful friends!
