Happy New Year to All! I tried calling many peps who read my journal at the magical hour, but I ended up getting a lot of VMs. Oh well...
Yesterday was so much fun. I was able to relax knowing my boyfriend was safe and out of cell range, I studied a bit for Laban class, and I was able to spend the day with two of the greatest people in the world, girlsnotgrey and graylight. We went to eat an amazing sushi dinner at a place close to their house after opening xmas gifts. girlsnotgrey gave me an amazing photograph she took in a very beautiful frame. I feel so special to receive a piece of art from one of my oldest and best friend. And the photo is amazing too!
Afterward, we went to the store to pick up some meds because I wasn't feeling very well. I think I had cheese to eat for lunch in a weird soup at Panara Bread Co. After resting a bit at their home, we headed out to Johnson City to a trashy, but fab drag bar. Before, I had really enjoyed my time at New Beginnings, but this year the shows were not that great (they appeared to have lost their best queen), the drinks were very bad (at least the bar tender was hot), they played horrible top 40 remixes in between good house music, there were no hot boys, and my boyfriend wasn't with me. The combination of all the above probably would seem to make a bad night, but actually I had fun just hanging out with my friends. It had been too long since we were all together. We ended up willfully leaving early after Cam got a bit sick and the music became more obnoxious.
