All in a days...

Whew, what a crazy last few weeks!

So, show went up successfully. Here's a comment from a local patron

Message:

"I saw A. at the Fringe Festival, and I have to say that it was beautiful. I mean here in the show, you have women moving purposely and gracefully, I must say that to move in such a controlled manner accentuates the overall beauty that is the show. I've never seen an interpretive dance until now. That being said, I had no idea (and probably still don't) how much work and training must go into making something like this. When the ladies moved I could see and admire the muscle tone they displayed that must be a result of some amount of preparation I cannot fathom. So it's a snowball effect of sorts. Take five women, train them to produce a beautiful show, and they get more beautiful in the process, which in turn causes them to produce a more beautiful end product. ...I guess I'm in awe of the whole thing, this being the first interpretive dance I've ever seen and all... Thank you for a truly amazing experience!"

Now I'm starting to get my life back together... slowly....

I've been working at Miss Sixty part time (only for the Energie discount/allowance...) and dP. Things have been slow over the summer, but we have auditions for the Yorkville Nutcracker at the end of Sept. Speaking of Sept., lots are planned. I'm going to DC to visit my amazing friend Mark who I met in Beijing, I have a trip planned to Mexico City in the middle of the month to meet who I think might be my soul mate, AND I have my first class at the Laban Institute for Movement Studies the week after.

Also, I have a job interview for an arts management position at a local modern Chinese dance company. If I'm able to get that job part time, keep the dP job, and ditch M60 I will be making close to 6 figures!!! Now thats more like the bourgeois homo you all know!

Maybe that would help pay for the Prada sunglasses I bought a week ago...
