Well, Scott was right. Bush won, and now I'm sitting here reading Kerry's concession speech and crying my heart out, because it shouldn't be a concession speech. I guess that's what I get for being an optimist and believing that the good guy always wins. I was trying to console myself on the bus by thinking that if the American people chose Bush, then they DESERVE all the bad shit that's going to happen. But that's not true...they're not evil or self-centered, they're just ignorant, and ignorance shouldn't be punished like this.
The part that I really hate is that I should be happy today. I made district choir, and not only that, I was fourth place among second altos in the district. Which is pretty damn good, and I'm really proud of myself. But all I could think about all day is how much I hate that man and how much he's going to hurt this country.
