Done is perfect.

Well, I finally finished painting the scenery on Sunday night. ALONE. I fired Jackson and Frida on Friday. I know I don't have the authority, but it was just easier to do the rest of it myself without their endless bickering and even more disturbing occasional makeout sessions in the AV lab. Jackson seemed kind of relieved. Frida protested a little ( Read more... )

Well done, Blake. Things are better accomplished by oneself.

Definitely. And the Latin exam was beastly; I almost ran out of time checking my work.

What's happened to my priorities?

You finally got some?

Don't drown.

I didn't drown. I'm not in the habit of drowning, especially not ignonimously, in a lake.

Finally got some! The nerve of you...

I'm sorry, I plainly misworded that. I had hoped you wouldn't break your habit of not drowning. Which you haven't, so it's really a non issue.

Not nerve! Pride! Honestly, I'm proud of you! Which brings me to the second section of the Latin exam (culture), question number eight: did you choose (b) or (d)?

I find that it's easy to not drown if you don't fall in the water in the first place.

Aww...thanks!

I don't think of them by number or letter--which one are you talking about?

It will sound stupid (but I studied, I promise), but it was "What is the metrical pattern of "Tu quoque perpetuos semper gere frondis honores"?".

I couldn't remember if is was DDSDDS or SSDSDS. I'm positive if I'd had more time to check it, that I would have gotten it...

Damn!

I think I said DDSDDS. Although it also doesn't make sense that -per gere should be a dactyl, because -re comes before two consonants, which means it should by all rights be long...

SSDSDS makes no sense. Not enough syllables. Plus it feels all wrong.

Well, I said DDSDDS, too. I just wasn't positive about it.

(OOC: yes! DDSDDS is the right answer!)
