“For the record,” Ted murmured into Randy’s ear as he walked them to the door, John waving both men off and heading into the bathroom to get in the bath to wait for Randy to join him, “Don’t pull any martyr shit on us again, Ok? We’re you’re friends and it’s really insulting.” He held a hand up before Randy could interrupt, “I know you’re doing what you think is right for us, but you need to trust us too. We’re big boys we know what we’re doing.” Reflexively Randy tried to make the moment less emotional by commenting, “I know exactly how big you two are,” and Ted whacked him for it.
“Go molest your boy and stop bristling over him hugging me,” Ted spluttered lightly and then shook his head, smiling slightly, “Go and take your bath. Seriously; that stink is gonna follow you all day.” The smiles they exchanged were only slightly awkward since there was always a small tension between them that neither could explain or truly understood even though it didn’t make them any lesser friends. Giving one another a firm handshake and slightly gruff bro-hug Ted then headed out of the room to go back to Cody. Closing the door behind him Randy shrugged his boxers off and then padded towards the bathroom to find John inclined in the tub quite comfortably.
“Comfy?” he drawled lightly and John smiled, motioning to him to get in. Randy climbed carefully over the tub and managed to get comfortably seated between John’s legs so his back was resting against his chest, “Am now,” John said. The tubs were small for two men of their stature singularly, let alone together, but it didn’t bother him whatsoever. Reaching for the shower-gel John then got it lathered between his hands before starting to massage it onto Randy’s skin. The younger man was silent and since he wasn’t facing him John couldn’t entirely tell how he was feeling. “Are you mad at me?” he asked lightly and Randy seemed as though he was ignoring him at first.
“No,” the word sounded genuine and even though John had told himself he wasn’t overly panicked at the thought that Randy might momentarily be pissed at him he was glad to hear that he wasn’t. “I mean, I am pissed that you sided against me-“he made a small sound of protest as John poked him in the ribs pointedly, undoubtedly protesting his choice of phrase again the way his friends had not a few minutes past, “But I guess you were right that I should have seen it coming that they wouldn’t take it easy if I just tried to cut them out of my life.” Not that they took the explanation as to why any better but that was expected too.
Each way had been rather a lose-lose situation and Randy wondered whether he had been arrogant to think that he could threaten them into backing off of something. Rolling his shoulders lightly as John’s hands began to massage them Randy sighed gently and leant back into his hold. He could feel John’s chest rising and falling as he breathed, the lulling motion along with the gentle lapping of the water now and again was very soothing indeed. “So what’s the plan?” John asked as his hands moved around to Randy’s front -nails teasingly glancing over Randy’s nipples and making him hiss out in pleasure-pain prickles- “Lunch with them and then head out to the arena afterwards for the show?”
Of course he didn’t mean that the show started after lunch but unlike with the main event where things were essentially a case of ‘We want this, this and this to happen, and you have to include this and you’ve got eight minutes to do it in, crack on’ maybe with a practice or two if you have the time and are lucky, the house-shows afforded you some point of the day beforehand to get a real good practice in once you found out what they wanted you to be doing. Randy wouldn’t be surprised if he and John were booked in to face one another in a six-man tag again or something; they liked those during the house-shows.
“Yeah I guess so,” Randy forced his eyes open from where they had lulled as he wanted to fall back into slumber thanks to his comfortable position, “Otherwise they might actually go through with their threat of stalking us and everyone’s going to get the wrong idea.” Though many people would obviously think in regards to the Legacy men that it would be the right idea. “We can make Ted pay this time around,” he was joking, probably. John chuckled lowly as he began to rinse suds from Randy’s skin. Before John could think about reaching for the gel to get some to wash himself with Randy was suddenly pulling away from him and turning around. It was some definite skill that resulted in him straddling Randy as he then did.
Extending a hand out for the gel Randy took the bottle as John offered it, soon returning the favour. John’s massage had rent a noticeable reaction in him and he wasn’t even mildly ashamed of it as he began to massage soap into John’s skin. Plus, the way that John’s eyes seemed to be fighting going between his face and his cock from where it was partially submerged in the water was definitely gratifying and uplifting for his mood.
“Somethin’ wrong, Cena?” Randy cooed and John’s eyes flickered back to his face momentarily before he then swallowed and shook his head, “N-Nope.” Though undoubtedly Randy could feel the way he was stirring underneath him as their bodies rubbed together or Randy’s hands pressed and kneaded just so. The wicked smirk that was flickered his way momentarily told John that Randy was indeed tormenting him. Bringing his hands up reflexively John planted them on Randy’s backside and rested them there. To be fair though Randy sent him a small look he really didn’t mind it at all. He washed the suds off of John’s body afterwards before then locking eyes with his lover before reaching down and wrapping a hand around him. John sucked in a sharp breath and looked up at Randy, a shiver running through him at the look in Randy’s eyes.
“You tried to drop me in it when you promised you’d helped me out,” Randy intoned lightly as he began to move his hand in firm, slow strokes; a definite and teasing pause between them. John groaned, biting his lip slightly as his head fell back, eyes fluttering closed before he forced them open again. “I don’t appreciate that John but I’ll let it go since things are seemingly going to work out regardless of my initial intentions.” John wasn’t sure whether that was a good thing or not since there was something in Randy’s tone that told him he’d be paying for what he’d done -good intentions or not- before their bath was over. Still Randy’s hand moved, not picking up speed even a little.
“Were you going to tell me about meeting Hunter in the lobby?” Randy could actually feel John beginning to soften in his hand until he leant in and kissed him hard, his tongue touching John’s in all the right ways and soon bringing him back to full power. He couldn’t deny though that even though his plan wouldn’t have worked had John lost his interest he was pleased by that sign that there was definitely no part of John that had an attraction to Hunter… like Shawn there seemed to be something some people just flocked to. Not that he liked to think about John as one of those who had flocked to Shawn… breaking the kiss and pushing the thoughts aside Randy focused on keeping John completely in his thrall momentarily.
“John, if you answer me-“the other had been surprisingly quiet save for the odd gasp or groan, “Then I can make us both feel good, Ok?” he nodded his head, “If you tell me what I want to know and apologise to me for turning against me in front of my friends when you said you wouldn’t I’ll make you feel good.” John was a man of pride, as was Randy, and it was only because he knew in the long run it would save his pride and also help assuage Randy’s that he managed to get out, “I’m sorry I turned against you, I only did it to help-“Randy suddenly squeezed him and John moaned low in his throat. Humming slightly in acknowledgement Randy waited.
“And--- and I was going to tell you about Hunter, but later on because I didn’t want the morning to be ruined for us both before we’d even started it.” Once, Randy knew that he would scoffed at such sentimentality, but when John said it, it didn’t sound nearly as pathetic or needy as it might have coming from anyone else. John met Randy’s eyes from where the other had looked away a little as though lost in thoughts of his own, “We can’t give them any ammunition, remember?” inside the bedroom or out of it as it were.
“Alright,” Randy finally acquiesced, “I believe you.” The look of relief that appeared on John’s face momentarily was both endearing and amusing but right then Randy had something else that he wanted to focus on--- his erection was still going strong and John was still throbbing in his grip even though his hand had stopped. When Randy then shifted somewhat both men ended up giving moans as their water and pre-cum slickened flesh rubbed together. Randy brought his hand around both of them and started to stroke, much swifter than before but no less firm. The viper shuddered as John’s back arched underneath him and he reflexively gripped his buttocks and spread them just a little with the action, water teasing Randy’s entrance.
Oh, if they had the time then he would, he really would, but that would have to wait until later. He didn’t doubt that Cody and Ted were probably waiting for them--- unless they had gotten distracted themselves but he wasn’t sure he wanted to risk it; they had been inclined to just barge right in once and if they thought they were taking ages then they might do the same again. Didn’t stop him from leaning in for a kiss though, in no particular rush to get to the end of this activity too soon. John kissed him back passionately and Randy gave a purring growl low in his throat, the sound that John made in return causing Randy to pulse inside of his own grip against John.

“It really wasn’t a date, Cody!” Ted insisted for possibly the hundredth time as Cody selected a hoody to put on over his t-shirt since the sky had darkened just a little outside and he was taking precautions against getting wet/cold etc. etc. In case you hadn’t noticed Cody was very finicky about things like that. “Right,” Cody said dryly as he brushed the material down, Ted groaning as he dropped his head back onto the bed; he hadn’t wanted to go out with Maryse but his father had taken their storyline a bit too seriously and he had pushed and niggled Ted’s gentlemanly instincts enough to take the French woman for a few dinners. He thought Cody had understood.
“She certainly seemed to read more into it,” Cody said lightly as he turned to face Ted, hands planting on his hips. The blonde had the grace to flush and look uncomfortable; the blonde had been twittering to everyone that she believed she and Ted were going steady (they would later find out that she was hoping that he would replace a recent break-up of her own she was smarting over, and who she was currently back with) and Cody had been positively livid. Though it had been difficult he hadn’t spoken to Ted about anything to do with things outside of work for a fortnight as Ted grovelled. And grovelled he did after initially becoming angry at Cody that after all they’d been through he still had to prove himself.
Pushing himself upright again so he was sitting on the end of the bed (neither of them were stupid, they both knew that the old Maryse situation was just a convenient scapegoat to stop them focusing on Randy’s misguided attempts that they had feared but hoped wouldn’t come to fruition) and then patted his knee, “Cody, come here.” For a moment Cody looked at him as though he was a complete fool before slowly, slowly approaching his lover and then perching atop his lap lightly, undoubtedly trying to brace his weight on his own legs so not so much would get on Ted. The blonde wasn’t having any of that though and merely pulled his lover back onto his lap properly, Cody straddling him.
The ravenette blushed and Ted always felt empowered by that reaction. “You still fool, Codes,” he chastised gently, Cody sucking in his cheeks and pouting as he was wont to do but he didn’t protest, “It’s just you, and it’ll only ever be you.” He leant in and pressed his lips to Cody’s, waiting mere moments to consider pulling away before Cody then kissed him back. Those perfectly maintained nails scratched his scalp and Ted shivered. Their kiss seemed to go on for an age before they pulled back. “It’s me and you, and Randy… and John,” he added as an afterthought and Cody chuckled, understanding the typical odd continuance of subtext that was so typically Ted, “And nothing’s ever going to break us up. I promise.”

Cody rested his forehead against Ted’s. “I know baby,” he said quietly, although he knew that Ted probably got impatient with him bringing up ancient history sometimes he couldn’t help it and the thinking about Randy trying to lie always reminded him of the man trying to convince Cody that Ted and Maryse were just friends. He had been oddly insecure when they had first gotten together, having been in love with Ted for so long and not at all sure that Ted wouldn’t change his mind and say he really wasn’t gay, so the ‘dates’ with Maryse had send him into alternating paroxysms of jealousy and fear. Even now, he sometimes wondered how long it could last for.
But Ted was very good at setting his mind at ease, although Cody knew that Ted had been subject to his own insecurities at the start of their relationship.
Ted slipped a hand beneath the fabric of Cody’s shirt and started stroking his back, something that wasn’t the best idea given their current closeness and that they probably wouldn’t have all that much time but he wasn’t able to help himself. “I can’t believe that Randy was ready to cut us off,” he mused. “I don’t know whether to be touched or hit him.”
“I’m going for the second option,” said Cody, hands running through his lovers hair in the way he knew Ted liked very much. “I know he doesn’t want us in the middle of this, but we already are. If he lets himself be cut off from everyone but John, he’s playing right into their hands anyway.”
“Well, it’s not gonna happen so we might as well forget about it.” Ted actually didn’t want to think about it anymore. They had gotten what they wanted, which was Randy explaining himself and the three of them back to their usual inseparable trio… plus one. More immediately was how Cody was running his nails through Ted’s hair and the urge to all but purr at the action, something Cody damned well knew would happen. He shifted slightly, his eyes slipping half-closed and his hand tightening a little on Cody’s back. Cody grinned slightly, ducking his head to kiss his way over Ted’s jaw and to his neck, figuring a little teasing wouldn’t hurt - and he felt a little guilty for bringing up the past again, he knew it pissed Ted off. He decided it wouldn’t matter if they got just a little playful - Randy and John would be bathing together, of that he had no doubt, and they would probably be a while.
Within five minutes Cody had managed to get Ted completely relaxed, a far cry from how he had been most of that morning with a confrontation with Randy imminent, leaning back on his elbows and smiling up at Cody who was still straddling his legs. Grinning back at Ted, Cody placed a kiss on Ted’s lips and then slid off his knee, kneeling in front of him and starting to work on Ted’s zipper.
“Cody!” Ted looked down at the other man, rather startled - they were running a bit of a risk, no matter how long their friends might take. And since they had burst into Randy’s room, he was almost certain that Randy would be looking for the opportunity to return the favour. Then again…the last thing he wanted was for Cody to stop.
Cody had a wicked grin on his face as he freed Ted from his underwear, licking his lips with exaggerated wantonness. “What’s wrong? Worried we might get interrupted?” He chuckled, rubbing the tip of Ted’s cock with his thumb and eliciting a whimper from the man. “I can’t remember if we locked the door behind us or not - I guess we’d better be quick.”
He was quick too, knowing exactly the way to get Ted revved up and knowing that the other wouldn’t dare to try to hold himself back when there was a chance of interruption - Ted was quite the contradiction in that he liked the thrill of danger at the chance of being caught but should he actually be caught then he’d probably die of embarrassment, or at least refuse to have sex anywhere ever again. It was a matter of minutes before Ted was moaning out a warning and Cody upped his game, taking Ted even deeper into his mouth. It was a rare occasion that he didn’t want to swallow and this wasn’t one of them, meaning that when Ted came, Cody was able to expertly savour every drop and have his lover cleaned and tucked back into his clothes, his satisfied expression the only sign that anything had gone on between them. Well… that and Ted lying on the bed, still trying to catch his breath and with a rather silly grin plastered on his face.
Cody stood up, only to sit on the bed beside his lover and lean over him. “I love that goofy expression,” he said cheerfully, leaning in to kiss Ted. He could still remember the first time he had done so after performing this act on Ted - the man had looked more than a little startled and Cody had eventually realised he hadn’t been used to the taste of himself. Women were always so funny about that kind of thing, or so was his understanding. These days, Ted never flinched, in fact entered into the kiss languidly but with definite desire.
“I do not have a goofy expression,” Ted responded once they had separated, his voice slightly rougher and deeper as it always was in the aftermath of orgasm.
“Yeah, you do,” Cody teased. “You look kinda happy and kinda shocked at the same time. It’s cute.”
“Kittens are cute. Grown men aren’t.” Ted wrapped his arms around Cody and pulled him properly to his chest. “That was fantastic.”
“I know,” replied Cody without even a trace of modesty. “Do I get my reward this evening?”
“Anything you want baby,” said Ted comfortably, having become used to pretty much anything they could do together.
“I was kinda hoping you’d say that.” Cody leaned up a little and grinned. “Hearing the champ and the challenger screaming through the walls last night gave me an idea-“
“It gave you lots of ideas, if I remember rightly,” returned Ted quickly.
Cody laughed and slapped his shoulder lightly. “Um, the way I remember it, you were the one who got turned on listening in!”
“You remember it your way, I’ll remember it mine.”
“Anyway, before you decided to distract me, I was gonna say that it’s been a while since we did a little role play on the road.”
“Hmm, you’re right,” admitted Ted, although role play wasn’t usually his favourite thing he didn’t mind once in a while, provided he wasn’t getting into anything too bizarre. “But I’m still not dressing up as Deadpool.”
“Hey, I’ve never asked you to dress up as Deadpool!” Cody grinned, knowing that Ted was only teasing him and in spite of the jokes that were levelled his way on occasion, he had no desire to dress up as superheroes… although he still thought that Batman would be a good Halloween outfit for Ted. He was definitely going to renew his campaign for that one later in the year. “I was thinking more that I could pick you up in the bar later on, stranger.”
It was an old game and Ted had no qualms about agreeing to it, much to Cody’s delight. Although they alternated who was picking who up, Cody felt like indulging himself in Ted’s nervous, vulnerable side, whereas when they switched places Ted’s suave confidence always made him feel like it wasn’t a game at all and he really was lucky enough to have attracted the eye of this perfect man, even though he wasn’t in the same league. Which was how he felt a lot of the time anyway.
Ted leaned up to kiss him again and Cody reciprocated, laughing a little, having forgotten all about his jealousy earlier and that was when the door flew open and Randy walked in, John just behind him. The tallest of the group looked very disappointed that he hadn’t caught them in the middle of anything suggestive, although Ted sat up quickly enough to make it seem otherwise.
“You’re looking a little flushed there Teddy,” said Randy with a slight smirk. Ted gave a slight frown, not at all embarrassed about being caught kissing Cody - it was more the thought of what they’d been doing only minutes before and what they’d been discussing since that had him a little shy.
Cody kissed Ted soundly on the cheek before standing up. “I’m glad you didn’t decide to sneak off without us,” he said rather pointedly - although it wasn’t at all like Randy to have ducked out in such a way, he hadn’t entirely written off the chance. Had Randy decided that they had to be together less, then there was no way that he wouldn’t move heaven and earth to do so. The one thing that actually made Cody feel rather good about the whole situation was that Randy seemed to have been as reluctant to cut them off as they were to be cut off and that he’d found any reason he could not to go through with what he’d intended… and that he looked rather shame-faced at Cody’s comment.
John grinned at Cody. “He wouldn’t dare,” he said. “You two are pretty formidable when you team up like that.”
“Yeah, well, we are good together,” replied Cody modestly, sensing Ted moving behind him - a move he should have expected but had actually forgotten to expect. He had spent some time looking at John’s naked wang earlier and Ted tended to get a little uptight about that kind of thing. “Isn’t that right Ted?”
“We always get what Cody wants,” replied Ted wryly and Cody chuckled, starting to reply just as there was a bleep in the room - Ted’s phone, coming from his jeans pocket. Ted fished it out and read the name with a frown, shooting a look at the others in the room that most people wouldn’t have thought anything of. John certainly didn’t. But Cody and Randy knew him better than that and their interest was immediately peaked. The change in Randy’s body language and the sudden cessation of conversation alerted John that something wasn’t quite right.
“Who is it Teddy?” asked Cody, voice seemingly casual.
“Creative. We’re tagging tonight against Evan and Kofi.”
There was no news in that and Randy relaxed, although Cody was less willing to do so. There seemed to be more but he wasn’t sure what that might be or why Ted wasn’t saying anything in front of John and Randy. He suspected it might be about Hunter and Shawn and any sway they had over someone who was most certainly one of John’s inner circle - or maybe they were getting ridiculously paranoid.
There was a second bleep as Randy’s phone sounded a message and he glanced at it before looking up at Ted. “Um, according to this I’m supposed to be having a mini-feud with Kofi so I’ve got matches before the pay-per-view and it says to ask you two about Monday.”
Ted looked uncomfortable. “Yeah. They said tonight’s kind of a dry run. We’re gonna big ourselves up by beating down Evan Monday night apparently.”
“Oh boy,” groaned John - why was it always Evan who came in for that kind of treatment?
“It doesn’t have to be a bad thing for any of us,” Cody pointed out. “If Evan can get a couple of good shots in and be worn down by sheer numbers, then it works out well for all three of us, right?”
“True that,” replied Ted. “And I’m probably being paranoid. It just seems convenient that it is Evan.”
“And now we’re seeing conspiracy theories everywhere, when it’s probably nothing like that.”
Randy nodded. “But it feels a little like someone’s fuelling the Orton against Cena camps. It probably is just a coincidence.” He smirked suddenly. “And I’m almost sure that if it really is that, there might be a little more said than what we will about it."
