My New Old Car
So the Stacemeister finally got herself some wheels!! A red '94 Nissan Sentra. I have to say it's so nice to finally be able to drive around in My car. There's almost always been a car here at the house for me to use, but I just hate having to rely on other people. And this car, man, what a steal! My uncle's giving it to me for $900, and after a few mechanic's bills for tune-ups and various other things, it shouldn't come out to be more than $1,300 total. Uhh, hello, sweet deal! I didn't like the car at first, but I'm totally digging it now and I'm just waiting until it's all mine (registered, fixed, etc.) to pimpify it out Stayc style.
My two favorite quotes during the whole buying process:
1. My uncle, before handing me the keys: "Don't drive it over 100 until you get used to it."
2. My grandmom: "Every blonde should have a red car!"
Watch out, 'cause the Piemobile will be hitting the road with style real soon.
In other news, summer is going great as planned. PADA is just outrageous - hands down the best ultimate team I've ever played with, and we just keep getting better with each game. I'm very excited for what the season's going to bring. Our first summer practice for TCNJ up at school went off without a hitch, complete with an excellent afterparty to follow. I really missed seeing my pineapples so that was really fun. Book Club hasn't read our new book yet, we still need to pick a date for it...so in the meantime I've been neglecting my duties and reading The Princess Bride instead, which turned out to be one of my favorite books of all time. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone.
As for now, I'm gonna go grab some lunch, call Geico and spend my 15 saving my 15, and then later on tonight there's gonne be some diner action and gathering at Sam's (possibly Firefly consumption?). (But none of it will be fun.)
