Miles Away Next To Me
At the end of the world are you away from me
I feel the chill in the sinew and bone of my soul
You are diamond on the glass of my eternity
Neatly carving perfect colors in the grey clarity
My body shakes and I struggle to catch my breath
Your voice still speaks to me sounds unheard
The taste of my tears is wine for your cup alone
Stirring up sediment to make me whole
Can you feel me when I caress your skin
Are you aware of me when I gently kiss your lips
Is the warmth of my blood enough to reach you
Do you hear the lullaby that brings rest to our minds
I lay awake looking through the break of reality
Is that you awake looking back from the other side
Never have I known sand to bury me to sleep
For you I sleep tonight
We meet there in the dream.

I wrote this for the challenge without edits. I guess you can say it wrote itself. I let the ten words write themselves in. I'd say it was a combination of alone in the dark, the crickets chirping, and Flyleaf playing in the background.
Good night :)
