This got a little twisted, I guess. Wrote it a few weeks ago.

A Hole Inside You

There's a hole inside you,
dark and empty.
A gaping wound
spewing blood,
long since supposed to be closed and forgotten.
But every day, still
it gets ripped open,
a trickle sitll flowing
red and burning
reminding you of what you lost.
Because there is a hole inside you,
dark and empty,
a gaping wound
where my place was.
