what a fucking hassle.

ive been stressed out all week, busting my ass for homecoming to an extent that i think only byron really understands (since i was reporting to him). finally i have most of the homecoming stuff settled, and i can relax.

oh wait, no i cant. because every day since we finally settled the homecoming issues, someone different has jumped down my throat about something. jesus, let me fucking relax people, ive earned it!

some of you might have noticed i was none too happy with fat daddy thursday night and friday morning. i wont say why, but i will say that its cool. i still strongly disagree with what happened and the things said, but shit happens, im over it.

brothers will know that i had a little argument over email with ryan. brothers who live in the house (upstairs) probably know that this isnt the first argument ive had with him this week, always about the same thing. again, i dont feel the need to be specific here, because its purely business, not personal, and i believe that we can settle it. and if not, i know that i can ignore the problem now that ive made my stance on the matter clear.

and tonight? the jax beach police. jax beach is hosting the annual springing the blues festival, a free outdoors music festival promoting the start of spring and i think the opening of the beach. the day is full of little trinket shops out on the beach and such, and from 6-10 there are bands playing. the last band tonight was playing an encore when 10pm rolled around, and the first incident with a cop happened right in front of me. the cop walked up to the production booth and told them to cut the concert... mid song! in the middle of the last song that would be played! for no good reason! stupid fucking cops. the production guy just sorta rolled his eyes and said "its an encore, it'll be over in a minute, hold your horses." there ought to be a budweiser commercial about that guy... the festival roadie with an attitude.

then as i was walking back home, which is just down the street... without a drop of alchohol in me, completely sober, not even so much as littering, i was stopped and hassled by a group of cops that felt it was their civic duty to break up the peaceful, law abiding crowd that was calmly leaving the grassy park where the concert was being held. i was rudely informed that i had to leave the area immediately and was almost run over by a cop car that was driving through the crowd yelling at pedestrians over the megaphone.

seriously... it was day 2 of a 3 day festival *put on by the city*. and the cops are using mob control techniques at 10:05pm to a mostly sober, peacefully leaving crowd. im sure ill hear on the news tomorrow about the 30 people who were unlawfully arrested, it happened last year. fucking pigs.

i guess the point of this entry is this... ive had a fucking hard week busting my ass for my chapter. just let me relax already!
