It's about time I made an update.
I did the habitat orientation in georgia (the last week of august). It thunderstormed almost everyday, and it was fantastic. I miss thunderstorms soooo much. I bonded with the crew. Found out who the herbalist are and who loves god.
I came back for less than twelve hours. Then I flew to Philly for my brother's wedding. It was a week from hell. My family threw a pre-wedding/end-of-the-summer party. Where I lost my medical marjiuana. A couple days post-party my 14 year old cousin accoused me of pre-pressuring her into smoking pot. In reality she was the one talking about wishing she was stoned, and how she could get us herb for free. At the wedding my brother's to-be-wife's sister tells me that she doesn't think that my lip ring looks good, and that Michelle (my brother's fiance/wife) was too afraid to ask me to take it out. Turned out Michelle had never even discussed my lip ring with my brother. I got to keep it in, but it was a total disaster. Made sitting at the wedding party table, and all the photos extreamly akward. I was happy for my brother, but so happy to be done with the wedding, and the whole visit.
Oh and did I mention, my mom and I made 180 plus cookies? Then Michelle's parent's took all the left overs home. Oh, and they didn't help Kris or Michelle out with the wedding cost at all. Yet everything had to be their way. Grr.
Then I came back to california, and was strait off to work. I've been out in the sun swinging a hammer like a champ for three weeks now. Hard, rewarding work.
My brother came for a visit. He sleeps until noon everyday, and drinks everyday. It was wearing having him visit. I love my brother, but it was hard.
I finally got to go visit Elise today. That was pretty awesome. I'm so glad that she's living so close now. It's good to have a bennington connection around.
Oh and I saw the dirty projectors play in L.A. with Rachel and her boyfriend. It was Rachel's last day in CA. She's moving back to washington to live with her parent's.
So that's my life in a nutshell. Things are rather good. Busy, but good.
