Love is...
When you feel so comfortable around another person that you can be fucking weird as hell and know s/he won't care.
When you don't care much about how you look because you know that the person you love cares about things that are far beyond such superficiality.
When you cannot bear to imagine your life without the person you love.
Unconditional. You accept each others' flaws and mistakes and survive even the most challenging of conflicts because you know it will get better if you just keep loving.
Selfless. You do things for another person because you simply want to see them happy, not to make yourself look good or to feel better about yourself.
A challenge. Loving isn't an easy thing. It takes work and deep commitment. But the benefits are priceless.
When you feel as one with a person yet still have a good hold on your own identity. And when you respect and honor each others' individual needs and preferences without taking it personally it they happen to contradict.
I think that last one is the toughest part of all, and a lot of people don't get it.
