It's been a harrowing weekend.
I was a groomsman in a good friend's wedding on Saturday, and that was very cool, but I think I'll post about that later.
Now, I would like to talk about last night. After spending the afternoon hanging out with a friend and helping her paint her church, I decided to drop off some film from the wedding at Walgreens. I drop it off, everything's hunkydory. I get back to the car to find that I have locked the keys inside. Along with my phone, wallet, and every other personal item. ( I was wearing some of her brother's clothes, since I had been painting.) I had nothing to my name but two 10 dollar bills in my pocket and a watch.
Well, I go back inside and try to call my folks, but of course, they're dead asleep at midnight. And the Walgreen's phonebook is 3 years outdated, so none of the locksmiths' phone numbers work anymore.
So I was stranded at Walgreens until my folks checked the loud and increasingly urgent messages I had left them.
I read many magazines, of which there was a poor selection. I ended up going through several celebrity gossip magazines. Not my proudest moment.
Read some greeting cards. I was surprised at how many lava lamps Walgreens had. And I ended up getting some giant neon pillows that were shaped like fish. I laid by the magazines and slept for several hours.
At least I had the 20 bucks,so I could buy my film when it was ready.
Mom came to get me around 5am and put an end to my exile.
I feel like a pioneer.
