Things are good lately. I feel good about life and about myself. Today at CiCi's pizza I saw this group of kids. This group of kids was divided almost perfectly among different races and ethnicities. There was a little black boy, a little black girl, a hispanic boy, an asian girl, a little white boy... I wouldn't have been surprised if an eskimo child was in there somewhere. They were all smiling and standing at the buffet, handing pizza to each other, peaceful as could be. It was like a PBS after school special. I half expected Barney to come stomping up behind them, breaking into song. It was a sight, I tell you.
I had an idea for my next film project in my Production class. It will be good. I didn't want to make another simple comedy, or something that will guarantee me an easy project and a good grade. I want to stretch my skills a bit. I'm going to experiment heavily with this next film. It will disorient you, I hope. It will involve strange dreams where the location changes without warning. Actually, it has something to do with the disorientation caused by turning your clocks back, but that's all I'll say. I'm excited about this one. More than usual.
I haven't gotten my grade back on my last project, but I think I'll be pleased.
Anyway, I'll try to get back to sleep. I'll leave you with a picture of me on my first bike, circa 1989. Riding your first bike in your BVDs. That's freedom, I tell you.
