Thank you for getting it right this time, America.

I haven't posted in a while, so I might as well make this one about American Idol.

First, let me say, that this season was incredibly boring. There were people that I loved, but other than that...the talent just wasn't that great. The finale was even more boring than the rest of the season. I didn't know who most of the people that performed were (heck, I probably wasn't even alive when they were famous).

I started out being a fan of Justin Williams during Hollywood week, and sort of watching Alex Lambert. Then Justin left, and I was completely for Alex and Tim Urban. Yes, I do still think that America is on crack for letting Alex go home. And yes, I do still think he should have won.

So sometime after the top 12, I started really, really liking Lee Dewyze. Once Tim got voted off, I became a full out Lee fan. (Also, somewhere in there I noticed Aaron Kelly and fell in love with his voice and adorableness and similarity to David Archuleta.)

Speaking of Aaron, I have a unhealthy obsession with his performance of You've Got A Way. Ahem. Moving on.

To be honest, I didn't love any of the girls. Didi and Katie were great, but I didn't think either of them were exactly Idol material. I hate how much emphasis was put on the girls this season. Siobhan had her great moments, but other than that she was mostly awful. Lacey was just okay, and Paige was never great to begin with. And Crystal...she reminds me of my sister's cat. My sister's cat sounds like a cow when he meows. Or a chicken.

After Aaron left, and I got pissed off at America, I decided I wouldn't finish the season if Lee went home before the finale, which, thankfully he didn't. And then he won. And that was the first thing America got right in the entire season.

Also, that whole thing where all the past winners and contestants came and sang to say goodbye to Simon (which I'm sad about, because he's really the only judge that knows what they're talking about) was kind of awesome. Except for the part where the GREATEST AI WINNER EVER wasn't there. Or (one of) the best runners-up. Neither of those things were awesome. Still, it was nice to see familiar faces, like Archie. Who still needs to do a duet with David Cook. Just saying.

Now that I got that all out of the way, I have an even unhealthier obsession with Big Time Rush. Everything about them is epic, from their show to their singing to their music videos to their adorableness to their hair.
