The Best Of Us Can Find Happiness In Misery

1. 2008 turned out to be a pretty good year. 2009 is looking even better.

2. At the beginning of October, I wrote about how the guys tried to hook me up with some dude that walked up to our table at dinner because he thought he knew me. The guy didn't call until about a month ago, and ever since, he's been inviting me to "juice parties." I haven't gone or consented to meet him because I find a guy hosting "juice parties" to be more than a tad strange - but if I were to discover that someone were willing to accompany me, I might be more inclined to attend.

3. The academy has been amazing. We're two weeks into classes and I find a new reason to love it every day. Our site sensitization is on Tuesday, so I get to go up to Northern and meet some of the people that I'm going to be working with.

4. Kansas isn't off to the greatest start (9-3), but they just upset the No. 14 team in the country setting them at 10-3. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they make it back into the top 25 within the next couple weeks.

5. This past Christmas was one of the best times I've had when everyone (minus Senger and Taz) has been home - it was a great way to end the year.

6. I have to admit that this NYE was the best I've had since back when Jimmy and I were dating. No drama, plenty of laughs, a HUGE mess (think graffiti and silly string - but totally worth it), a ridiculously late night, and a fabulous recap at Denny's the next morning with everyone who crashed for the night.

7. In just a week, Shorty will finally be 21. Her birthday party should be more than amazing with a stellar cast already having RSVP'd. We've reserved several rooms at the casino, and as of this moment, the plan is to spend the day with family and the night partying with friends.

8. Barry is walking a fine line on the edge of sketch.

I think that covers everything for now - miss everyone already.
