You Brought Me Better Nights
Back from Florida and looking forward to two parties this weekend, and oh yea, surgery on my knee next month.
1) According to the doctor, my knee injury in 2005 was a partial ACL tear. Three weeks ago, I completely tore my ACL in a co-ed game. Being stubborn, I self-medicated myself with ice, motrin, and a week off from playing. After the week off, I played in 4 more games before tearing my meniscus last Sunday. Fun is.
2) Florida was nice - it was good to get away, lay out by the pool, and spend some time with my family.
3) I returned from Florida earlier than the rest of my family (they won't be home til Saturday) and had a hell of a time getting back here. My flight to Baltimore was in a "holding pattern" over Virginia for close to a hour and a half. Our plane circled over a thunder storm the entire time - lightening striking down right near us... it was crazy to watch but also ridiculously frightening.
4) Andy, Wayne, Jamie and myself are trying to plan a mini weekend getaway to Atlantic City. We always try to plan shit like this (i.e. Spring Break in Cancun) and it falls through every time. Hopefully this one goes down as we've been discussing.
5) Sick Celtics game last night - I thought the series was going to be tied for sure. Down by 20 for nearly the entire game... they were damn lucky.
6) I'm so f'ing bored at work right now and I can't think of anything else that I could possibly write about (without incriminating or embarrassing myself), so I think I'm going to take Liz's advice and go play computer games.
