I'm So Far Gone Now ... Do You Wanna Take Me On?

Stacey (staceyizniftydu) had a barbecue at her house yesterday to celebrate Memorial Day - wicked fun times with Taris, Joey, Rob, Sharon, Jenn, Andrew, Erica, Dennis, and of course Stacey.

When I got to Stacey's everyone was out back playing Scrabble. We split into teams of four and played a dirty version - spelling words like "deep gag" and "buttsex." At one point, Stacey's dad came outside and stared at the board for a minute and then said something about broadening vocabulary - wicked funny.

After playing Scrabble the guys decided they wanted to go swimming, so we took a drive over to the Quality Inn during what Taris called the "Sun Shower," and the boys and Erica took a quick swim, though they were complaining the whole time that the water was freezing - go figure.

Once we left the hotel, we headed back to Stacey's and everyone jumped into the hot tub. After the hot tub and a quick trip to McDonald's, we just chilled on the deck - that is until the Velocorapter in her back yard kept scaring people. Wicked funny times.

It started to get pretty cold, so we went inside and Stacey played the piano while her, Sharon, and Erica sang "My Heart Will Go On" - they did pretty well considering that Taris was trying to mess them up the entire time. Afterward, Rob, Sharon, Taris, and myself played Spades, and then Stacey suggested we try a game called Moods.

The game was fairly interesting - more entertaining than anything. There are ten mood cards on the board, you role a die to see which mood you have to act out, pick a phrase card, and say the phrase in that mood - then the other players guess which mood you were acting out. We played one game, which went fairly well, and then it turned into a free-for-all with people shouting out phrases and Sharon and Stacey acting out the moods pretty convincingly - and amazingly funny. Good times.

All in all, that was one of the best nights I've had here in CT in a long while - and it's pretty sweet because there was no drinking or drugs involved - YAY!!!

Anyway - not sure what's up for the rest of the day, but I do have to finish up my job applications - yea, that's right, I'm applying for the freshly-graduated-from-college jobs - woohoo. Alright, on that note, later dayz y'all.
