I hate being upset. I'm one of those "Cries When Gets Pissed" kind of girls and today was not the day to get pissed. My eczema is way flared up, my face was already swollen and hot and then I go and cry. Not smart Manda.
For all of those that have Progressive Insurance and live in Arkansas, heed my advice. GET RID OF THEM!!! They will fuck you right on up the ass given the chance. Ugh.
I no longer have Progressive ,haven't had them in over 3 years now but they're still slipping it to me. The bastards. Here's the skinny:
If you have Progressive and you get into an accident, MAKE SURE they file a form called an SR21 (or 22). It's a financial responsibility form. It proves you had insurance at the time of the wreck. If they don't, Driver Control can suspend your license thereby revoking any previous probations you might have on you record, say like probation you took for a speeding ticket. Then they will require a court hearing that you may just miss because the local traffic courts are sending the notices to an address you haven't lived at in over three years. Then there'll be a warrant for you arrest. You'll have to pay a big fine, you now have a conviction on your driving record that doesn't show up until 2 years after the actual speeding ticket and you'll be paying high insurance premiums until kingdom come. Got it? Progressive didn't file this form (when I called they had no idea what it was I was talking about - hello? It's Arkansas Law to file these fucking things). If they had, my husband never would have had his probation revoked for a previous ticket, he wouldn't have a failure to appear on his record, and I would be about $100 richer every fucking month. All over a simple, little piece of shit paper. Idn't life grand?
I'm done ranting. I'm going to take a nap and hopefully dream of Progressive offices all over the country exploding in unison. I'll bring the marshmallows and it will be fabulous.
