I woke up feeling healthy, well-rested and happy on a Saturday morning of a 4-day weekend, and it occurred to me that we call it Murphy's Law if I were to wake up with a flu on this same morning.
It seemed suddenly silly and melodramatic that we didn't have the converse law, a well-balanced yin yang of circumstance of chance, and I thought of (

So many times in my life, no matter where I am (in St. Louis yesterday, South Dakota today), seeming chance and happenstance align to bring about some very fun situations. Commonly it expresses itself as my meeting people I know in a place where the chance of it happening is one in a few million. Sometimes it's when I'm flying and a dozen things align just right and my students get a lesson on why the skill I just taught them is useful.
The latest? Hmm....
The weather was perfect on Wednesday in STL and my client's wife, who is terrified of flying, acquiesced to going up with me for an intro flight. She is now fluent in the autopilot and wants to take more lessons. Had the weather not been so smooth, the sunset so perfect, and the air traffic so low... I wonder if she'd have had so much fun.
I had some good experiences in the airline terminals as I hopped over to SD to see my parents for Christmas but they weren't so much things aligning as they were random acts of kindness from strangers.
