Interesting thought from MY DAD of all people...Bush's plan is to spread democracy because He believes " freedom is not America's gift to the world, it is the Almighty God's gift to every man and woman in this world." Sounds like a self-justifying philosophy, like devine right or manifest destiny. We look back and think Manifest Destiny was evil, but at the time it was perfectly acceptable. Bush's self-justifying expantion of democracy ideals are spreading to the minds of the rest of America, just like Manifest Destiny. I'm confident that in 100 years, just like Manifest Destiny, Bush-ology will be considered evil.
