I just remembered that  I can actually update this thing, not just read my friends' posts. So, here goes.
I AM SO BORED OF MY JOB RIGHT NOW. June 26th is my last day. It is June 4th. Feels like forever. I move in the end of July. Also not soon enough.

So I got back together with Kai. That may come as a big surprise to anyone who talked to me between January 2 and the end of April..but it's good. really, really good. I'm completely in love with him (as i really always have been, haha let's be honest) and now i can express that whenever i want.

Also, i'm really close to being healthy-- like weight-wise i mean. I'm only a couple of pounds outside the "normal" weight range, which is exciting. I'm wearing size 6s and 8s. I'm getting slightly more comfortable in my own skin. 39lbs down, 11 to go till i'm satisfied. My california/vegas trip is REALLY happening!! I leave June 30th. I was hoping to be down the full 50lbs by then, but i realize that's not a reasonable goal right now because i fell a little behind. Now i'm aiming for at least 46lbs down. Not a big difference, but a more realistic goal. I'm sure i'll gain a little back on the trip, but i plan to be down the full 50 by the end of july. Had to give myself a little time extension, but losing at a healthy rate is important. Oh and i'm a vegan now, have been since january.

What else? I ended up getting into medical schools: Tufts, BU, Stony Brook, Robert Wood Johnson, SUNY Downstate, Howard, and Morehouse. Also got waitlisted at Brown, George Washington, and Mount Sinai. Turned down interview offers at USC, Drexel, and Temple. Rejected post-interview at Cornell and Georgetown. Rejected without an interview at Harvard, Columbia, Jefferson, Penn, and Tulane. So overall, a good job. I decided on Stony Brook, unless i get off Sinai's waitlist, which i've been working pretty hard to do. I really liked stony when i went back for revisit though, so i definitely wouldn't be disappointed going there. The facilities were really good as far as simulation rooms and everything went, and the international opportunities were amazing. AND it's near Kai, always a plus, and near my family, so i can do grocery shopping at their house and eat dinner there when i want. and see my cousins more. and i'm not too far from the city that i can't go in when i have free time.

Overall, life is good. Just can't wait to leave philadelphia.
