Getting Better All the Time
Squeezypet does our grocery shopping, for the most part. If I'm at our local Winn Dixie, I'm generally buying beer, cookies, tiny plastic saints, or bunny greens. The greens almost always baffle the cashiers.
Tonight, the Emo Teen Clerk dubiously eyed the bundle of greens on his conveyor belt.
"What's that?"
"Kale."
Kale was price checked & entered into the cash register.
"How do you even eat that?"
"I don't. I feed it to a rabbit."
"Oh."
I'm not sure if he accepted that as an adequate explanation for kale, or if he thought I was just being an ass.
