I applied at GPA a few days ago... What happens now? Do they call or email or am I supposed to call? I'm getting the pre-adoption anxious jitters!

I am on pins and needles waiting to hear back.

They get alot of applications and it's mostly volunteers. Give it a couple of days - they could all be getting ready for a big greyhound event this weekend called "Sandy Paws" up in Georgia.

Or - you could followup tomorrow during the business day and find out the status and how long it will take to get back to you...most times they don't have any problem with that - I know it took them about a week or so to respond when I first applied - and I actually applied to both GPA and GREAT at the same time because I had the major jitters. Don't worry - they are probably checking on your references before getting back to you...which is what is delaying their response (I had friends telling me they were getting reference calls before I "officially" heard from them)....
